2016 MINI F56 JCW (231hp) - DRIVE & SOUND (60FPS)

Finally there it is....the full Drive & Sound test with my all-new 2015 / 2016 MINI John Cooper Works being the featured "Automann-Car" for the next year or so. This new F56 JCW is 100% stock and delivers 231 hp & 320 Nm or torque out of a (BMW) 2.0 TwinPower Turbo (weight: 1.295 kg). My special thanks go to MINI Nürnberg & Fürth who made this quick delivery possible and also feature our project on their Facebook page. The particular JCW is equipped with the optional 6-speed automatic, which against all concerns, holds the sporty character of the JCW and shifts fast as a DCT transmission if you put it in sport. As the car now has around 6.500 km on the clock you can be ensured that engine and exhaust system are open and run in. Through the first 2.000 km you could really hear how the exhaust note got deeper and louder day by day. It has received the full volume after I did my final run-in-phase on the Autobahn with around 3.000 km. As you might have followed on Facebook and G+, there is a JCW Pro-Exhaust coming that will be fitted on this car in late September and will bring the car to about 250 hp in open valve mode. 2017 MINI Cooper S Limited Edition JCW Racing Seats - Exterior and Interior Walkaround

The Mini Hatch, stylized as MINI hatch or MINI Hardtop in the US, is a three-door hatchback first introduced in late 2000, with a second generation launched in 2006 and a third generation model launched in 2014. A convertible version was introduced in 2004, with the second generation following in 2008. The Mini is produced in Cowley, Oxfordshire, UK, at Plant Oxford, with additional capacity introduced in the Netherlands for the third generation model due by the summer of 2014. The Mini Hatch was the first model launched by BMW under the Mini marque after the original Mini was discontinued in 2000. The new model built by BMW is technically unrelated to the former. The third generation Mini was unveiled by BMW in November 2013, with sales starting in the first half of 2014. The new car is 98 mm longer, 44 mm wider, and 7 mm taller than the outgoing model, with a 28 mm longer wheelbase and an increase in track width (+42 mm front and +34 mm rear). The increase in size results in a larger interior and a boot volume increase to 211 litres. Five all-new engines are offered for this Mini, three petrol, and two diesels: a 1.2 litre three-cylinder petrol with 102 bhp, a 1.5 litre three-cylinder petrol with 136 bhp, (BMW B38 engine), a 2.0 litre four-cylinder petrol (BMW B48 engine) that produces 192 bhp for the Cooper S, and a 1.5 litre three-cylinder diesel (BMW B37 engine) in two levels of power output: 95 bhp and 116 bhp (Cooper D), and a 2.0 litre turbo-diesel inline-4 engine that produces 168 bhp (Cooper SD). These engines are mated with a choice of either a six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, or a six-speed sports automatic gearbox.[49] MINI has also released an all-new model called the MINI 5-door (AKA 4-door in US, F55). It is marketed as a 5-door version of the new 3rd generation Hatch. The base MINI 5-door is 190 lbs heavier and 6 inches longer than the 3-door MINI Hatch models with similar performance characteristics and more cargo space.[50] The 3-door Mini with an automatic transmission will reach 0–97 km/h (0–60 mph) in 7.3 seconds for the 1.5L 3-cylinder petrol model and in 6.4 seconds with the 2.0L four-cylinder petrol engine.[51] The shape is slightly more rounded than the one it replaces, in order both to improve the car's aerodynamic efficiency and to enhance pedestrian protection in the event of accidents. It has a much longer overhang and higher bonnet. This latest model rides on BMW's all new UKL platform that underpins the new BMW 2-Series Active Tourer.[52] Criticisms of the design of the F56 MINI Cooper have focused upon the extruded and complex design of the front bumper in Cooper S and JCW variants, as well as the larger front overhang and oversized tail lamps. Further criticism has also centred upon the overstyled nature of the exterior design.[53] The Mini is also the first in its segment to offer LED headlamps for its main and dipped beams as an option.[49] With its larger exterior dimensions, the all-new Mini provides more space for its four occupants and luggage, with enhanced shoulder space and larger footwells. Boot volume has been increased by more than 30% to 211 litres.[49] The dashboard retains its instrument layout, but adds a new instrument binnacle on the steering column for the speedometer, tachometer, and fuel gauge. The central instrument display now houses a four-line TFT display with the option to upgrade to an 8.8 inch screen for navigation and infotainment functions.[49] You’re ready to hit the open road. And with the awe-inspiring torque generated by the 2.0 litre 4-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine you can also hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in a little over six seconds. A low centre of gravity, high engine speeds and finely-tuned suspension give you maximum go-kart feeling at every corner, while high-performance brakes keep you firmly in control at all times. Once you get in, you won’t want to get out.

2016 MINI JCW (Pro Exhaust) - Autumn DRIVE (60FPS)

We are back with an exquisite autumn Drive & Sound of my 2015 / 2016 MINI JCW and the optional John Cooper Works Pro Exhaust System. After a few miles with this exhaust you can really feel how much more punchy and aggressive the character of the engine got an I truly believe that it opened up around 15 hp when running it in "open valve" or Track Mode. Through the woods and on the northern German country roads you will hear the acceleration, pops & crackles from a kilometer away....mind-blowing for such and "affordable" car. MINI Cooper S John Cooper Works Tuning Kit (JCW) ✔

For the new MINI Cooper S (2014 Model) there is a John Cooper Works (JCW) Tuning Kit available. The kit delivers 20 bhp more and gives the car a great sound. The kit includes altered motor electronics, a sports exhaust and a remote for a valve in the exhaust to choose your noise level.

Da ist das DING! ;) Today I can present to you some first and close up footage of the delivery of my new 2015 / 2016 MINI John Cooper Works from MINI in Nürnberg. Special thanks go to the team in Nürnberg that captured the delivery, cleaning & polishing of the car, a big thumps up from my end!!! The first 300 km I did yesterday were very convincing that I picked a great car for the next time. Especially the ride comfort and the low rpm torque of the engine are the first two things that really exceeded my expectations.
