For the first of 6 episodes from Season 2, we gathered the RWD purpose built sports cars available new for less than $30k. The MX5 has owned this segment for years, but the 86 offers a definite alternative, and the hard top RF and Fiat 124 give MX5 buyers even more choice. Paul and Todd spend a great day on a favorite Utah road to find what separates these cars and which one they'd most recommend. Look for a new TV episode every month right here on YouTube. It's hard to tweak perfection, but Mazda decided to try with the 2017 MX-5 RF hard top. Ditching the canvas top will no doubt make purists cringe but the truth is that although it does dull the MX-5 slightly, it makes the affordable roadster attractive to a broader audience. The real question is: can a hard top make the nearly perfect roadster even better? Or should you spend your money on something else? 0-30 : 2.2 Seconds 0-60 : 6.5 Seconds 1/4 Mile : 14.7 Sec @ 91 MPH 60-0 Braking : 111 Feet More videos: http://goo.gl/Kj1FlI Best cars in 2016: http://goo.gl/3xAVJi Upcoming reviews: http://goo.gl/pLtP6U AOA on Facebook: http://goo.gl/a47Cu1 The Mountain Garden: http://goo.gl/icFWcd
Click here to watch our review on the 2019 #Mazda #MX-5 #Miata:
For nearly 30 years, Mazda has been building the Miata sports car. It quickly built a loyal cult following for being the perfect starter car for the gear head looking to get into racing. With its low weight, balanced chassis, and visceral feel, it quickly reminded you why you fell in love with driving in the first place. When the ND made its debut in 2015, everything that we disliked about the old model was addressed. Three years later, do we still feel the same way about this cheeky little convertible?
**Update, rumors about the power increase for 2019 have been confirmed for the Japanese market, and the MX-5 Miata will make 26 MORE hp and rev to 7,500 RPM** Be on the lookout for Mazda to make an official debut in America soon.
