Cheap shifter with folding tip for F800GS is IMS part 312223. https://www.amazon.com/IMS-312223-Flightline-Folding-Shift/dp/B000UKO37Q Today was a banner day. We not only got to try out our Fancy new Sena 20s communications system but we had a new guy along for the ride. None of us had actually met Dave, on a BMW F650GS, in person before so we no idea how he would do. We started him out slowly with some easy trails and a bit of sand but by the end of the day Dave's shiny new GS was buried up to the axles in muck. Joe even managed to pry himself out of bed and join us on his BMW X-Challenge which is as rare as a unicorn on an HP2. Dave is a regular now but has been complaining for years how he hasn't been in any of the videos. I have been telling him that in the Awesome Players world he had yet to be born. So in this clip, with the help of the douche rope, you can witness the birth of a Player. Hopefully this video will put an end to Dave's whining!
Link to Ford Focus video https://youtu.be/wdsC96guN78 This would be the first ever ride with two Urals. New guy Philippe contacted Riley and wanted to go off-roading for the first time ever in his shiny new fuel injected Ural. After a quick look at all the improvements Ural has made since Riley bought his Gear Up in 2008 the group set out for the trails. Super Dave makes another appearance on his BMW F650, 7000, 800, whatever that thing is, to complete the trio. Surprisingly we stop at Tim Hortons before arriving at the little sandpit. Philippe uses two wheel drive for the first time and makes it up the hill. We decide to check out the infamous Black Lake. I had mentioned that the water would be too deep to fjord in the Urals. When we get to the end of the disappearing road Riley decides to roll into the water and see how deep it is. Philippe takes this as his cue that we are crossing and goes for it. He floods out his new ride. At the same time Riley’s Ural seems to have lost all it’s gears. Time to pull out wrenches and get busy.
So, who are the contenders? In (mostly) alphabetical order, we’ve got the BMW R1200GS Adventure, Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports, KTM 1290 Super Adventure R, Suzuki V-Strom 1000 XT, Triumph Tiger 1200 XCa, and Yamaha Super Tenere ES. All of them are designed to explore both the beaten and unbeaten paths no matter where you are in the world. They’ve got big engines, bigger gas tanks, tall seats, loads of technology, and in this case, a lot of MOrons piloting them. The outlier in the group is the Ducati Multistrada 1260 S Tour. Its cast wheels won’t do it any favors in the dirt portion of our test, but it was the only Multistrada Ducati had available – we had requested the smaller-engined but properly-wheeled Multistrada Enduro. It was either Multi 1260 S or nothing, so we bent our self-imposed rule. Rest assured, once we get our hands on the Enduro, it’ll get its proper shake against whoever wins this shootout. Once again it is only Chris and Riley who head out on a rainy Sunday morning. The plan is to revisit one of our usual haunts and keep an eye open for any new areas we might have missed on previous rides. We do find some stuff we have never ridden before. We chicken out out on a couple of hill climbs. Later we find a few new routes. One brings us to a rutted out downhill with water running down. We find a bypass and spin our way out while the rain comes down harder. Definitely a place to revisit on a nicer day.

Players Marc, on his big African Twin, and Riley on his mid-size? Husqvarna 701 Enduro head out on the trails on a grey Sunday morning. For late September the temperature was actually quite nice. They ride the ATV trails between Chertsey and St Donat and back. A little side trip on a hydro line doesn't pan out when they come to a rocky hill that bests them. Marc puts in a stellar performance and really gets the AT moving as well as up some gnarly climbs. The 701 shakes off the cobwebs and really starts running nice after changing out the crappy air filter oil. The front brakes on the big single were mushy for some reason but still had enough stopping power to get the job done. A brake bleed and fluid change would sort that out the following week.
