The Fuchs Blackjack-21 (is no gamble)

See all gear used in this demo: http://txba.ly/v9bp Fuchs Link: http://www.fuchsaudiotechnology.com/amps/casino-series#blackjack21 The Fuchs Blackjack-21 hits the sweet spot between features, quality and price. Andy Fuchs has been a top boutique amp builder for years, but not everyone can afford the $2500+ price tag that his high-end amplifiers bring. The Blackjack-21 is part of the Casino Series that Andy designed to bring the Fuchs sound to more people with a lower price. This amp packs a lot of tone and features with footswitchable clean and gain channels, a boost that works on either channel, and a great reverb circuit. The amp is powerful enough to hold its own with a full band, but still usable in small venues. The best part about this amp is the gain channel. The drive is very smooth and sounds great without any pedals but also responds quite well when pushed by an overdrive or boost. The combination of tone, features and price make the Blackjack-21 a great choice for someone looking for an amp in the $1500 price range.

Fuchs Blackjack 21 MKII Demo

A quick demo of the new Fuchs Blackjack 21 mkII combo amplifier. This combo has a Celestion G12-65. I used my Suhr Pro Series S1 and Collings City Limits and went back and forth between the clean and OD channels. Stephan Lipinski From the Fuchs website: The Blackjack-21 II The Blackjack 21®-II is a push pull Class-AB output stage using dual 6V6 power tubes for about 21 watts. An excellent amp for home practice, studio recording, and even gigs! Through a single 12" cabinet or a dual 12" cabinet, the amp gets plenty loud ! The amp features two channels. Channel one is a single volume control non-master channel with high, mid and low controls, a gain boost which works while keeping the tone controls active, and a digital reverb based on the same technology used in the Good Verbrations® pedal. This provides a fully adjustable lush reverb, with level and decay controls. Channel two has its own input gain control and output master volume. It shares tone controls with channel one, as well as the tone controls being active with the gain boost activated. The Blackjack 21®-II is based on two 12AX7 preamp stages and a 12AT7 driver stage. A surprising amount of clean headroom is available before the output stage begins distorting with an American style tone, that's sweet and warm up and including clipping, and well into natural overdrive. Its tone provides a clean cutting rock edge, filled with a rich harmonics and just the right amount of chime. More clean headroom than 4-Aces® or Lucky-7®, but the same great tones both clean and dirty! The circuit design also is "attenuator friendly". The Blackjack 21®-II and its siblings the 4-Aces®, Lucky-7®-II and Full House®-50 have a preamp stage inspired by our ODS® and TDS® designs, which allow clean-to-mean from the guitar volume control on both the clean and dirty channels. What's great about this power level, is that you can use the amp as a single channel amp with reverb, gain boost, and natural amp overload, as a single channel high gain amp (using the overdrive channel and the guitar volume to control everything), or run it as a traditional channel switcher amp!
