It's the last day before I can take my Porsche 911 GT3 out for a drive! Naturally, that means a visit to Topaz for detailing and installation of paint protection film. I cannot wait to get the miles rolling in this car! Tomorrow, the Ring Wing Ting tour will get underway to Paris and then to the Nürburgring for Car Freitag. I will be taking my four winged supercars including the Mercedes-AMG GT R, McLaren 675LT Spider, Aston Martin Vantage GT8 and upon completion the Gelbgrün 991.2 GT3. For more information about the Shmeetings, please refer to the Shmee150.com website: https://shmee150.com/ring-wing-ting/ You can find out more about Topaz with the following links: http://topazdetailing.com http://instagram.com/topazdetailing http://facebook.com/topazdetailing Thanks for watching, Tim Subscribe: http://bit.ly/Shmee150YT Website: http://www.shmee150.com Facebook: http://www.fb.com/shmee150 Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/shmee150
The Porsche 911 Speedster Concept is a road-ready study of an open-top and particularly exciting sports car. It forges a link between the very first Porsche 356 ‘No. 1’ Roadster, which received its operating permit on June 8, 1948, and the Porsche cars of today. The broad body of the concept car has been borrowed from the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet, although the wings, front bonnet and rear cover of the concept are made of lightweight carbon-fibre composite material. The paintwork in the traditional colors of GT Silver and White harks back to Porsche’s early racing cars. The chassis essentially comes from the Porsche 911 GT3, with contrasting high gloss polished clover-leaf details on the imposing 21-inch rims in Fuchs design. It is the first time that these wheels are presented with centre locks. The GT developers also contributed the exhaust system with titanium tailpipes and the powertrain, which includes a six-speed manual transmission. The six-cylinder flat engine in this minimalist concept study delivers over 500 horsepower and reaches speeds of up to 9,000 rpm. Discover ALL new cars before anyone else! The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS is synonymous with precision at the very highest level. This high-performance 911 weighs just 1,430 kilograms and its six-cylinder engine now delivers an output of 383 kW (520 hp). Developed by the Porsche motorsport department based on the 911 GT3 and its racing colleague the GT3 Cup, the RS has a clear focus on delivering optimum race track dynamics. Among the features that help deliver this emphasis are the enhanced four-litre flat engine and the new running-gear setup. The rear-axle steering has been adapted to suit the new tuning and also supports the agile design of the vehicle, while simultaneously enhancing stability.
The appearance of the wide, weight-optimised body is dominated by an aerodynamic design with an emphasis on downforce. And despite the strong downforce, the GT3 RS can achieve a top speed of 312 km/h. The large rear wing, like the widened front wings with high-mounted ventilation slits, is made from ultra-lightweight carbon. The interior is also dominated by a racing feel, and the full bucket seats made from carbon provide secure lateral support even when strong lateral forces are present. Lightweight door panels and reduced sound absorption are further illustrations of the consistent lightweight construction.
