The Storage package and entrance lamps are now standard and the AMG Sport Exhaust, AMG Performance exhaust, rear chrome trim, and the AMG Track Pace App are now available on the AMG models. Vehicle Summary The compact GLC-Class is positioned above the entry GLA-Class and below the GLE-Class, GLS-Class, and G-Class. The GLC-Class Coupe has a higher starting price than the traditional model. Overview The 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLC300 (rear-wheel drive base model) and the GLC300 4Matic (all-wheel drive) are powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 that produces 241 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque and comes with an EPA rating of 22/28 mpg city/highway and 21/28 mpg (4Matic). A 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 that produces 362 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque is found in the AMG GLC43 and is rated at 18/24 mpg. The new AMG GLC63 packs a 469-hp, 479 lb-ft of torque 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 that Mercedes claims will send the SUV to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds. All models come standard with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The 2018 GLC300’s standard equipment includes Dynamic Select drive modes, selective damping suspension system, 18-inch wheels, natural grain Brown Ash wood trim, 14-way power driver’s seats, power liftgate, dual-zone climate control, a 7.0-inch display with a central controller, and an illuminated entry system. The AMG GLC43 models add a wider front track, AMG Sport Air Suspension, three-stage electronic stability control, AMG Performance Braking system, AMG Sport exhaust system, AMG instrumentation, and AMG menu with Racetimer. Available features for the lineup include adaptive air suspension, a sport brake system (larger and with M-B lettering), 20-inch wheels, AMG body styling, panorama roof, heated steering wheel, cabin fragrance and air purification system, Designo Nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, a touchpad controller, the Comand infotainment system with a 8.4-inch screen, a head-up display, Burmester Surround Sound audio system, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and a WiFi-hotspot. The range-topping GLC63 comes standard with a mechanical limited-slip differential, a Panamericana grille, three-stage AMG Ride Control sport suspension, and an AMG Performance exhaust system. Safety The 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class was issued the highest rating of Good for the moderate overlap front and side crash evaluations. In front crash prevention testing, the standard Collision Prevention Assist Plus driver assist feature did not properly warn the driver of a possible collision and the automatic braking feature was not tested. The optional Pre-Safe with Pedestrian Recognition properly warned the driver of a possible collision but the automatic braking was also not tested. The previously mentioned Collision Prevention Assist Plus, Attention Assist (drowsy driver alert), crosswind assist, a rearview camera, Pre-Safe (collision preparation), and trailer stability assist are standard . The Premium Driver Assistance package includes the remaining driver assist features: blind-spot warning, Distronic Plus with Steering Assist (adaptive cruise control with lane centering), Brake Assist Plus with Cross-Traffic Assist, Pre-Safe with Pedestrian Recognition, Pre-Safe Plus (post-accident braking), Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, and Speed Limit Assist. Parktronic with Active Parking Assist (self-parking system) and a surround view camera system are available in the Advanced Parking Assist package. What We Think The Mercedes-Benz GLC300 4Matic won our coveted title of 2017 Motor Trend SUV of the Year: “The GLC isn’t the sexiest choice for SUV of the Year, but it’s without hesitation the smartest. The design is solid, the interior is first-class, the engineering is as good as small SUVs get, and the value proposition is strong. We have no crash data yet, but the E-Class chassis that the GLC is based upon underpins one of the safest cars on the road. And despite surprising all of us with its power output, displacing just 2.0 liters means that the engine is also scarily efficient.” “The GLC is just solid, it aces all six of our criteria without skipping a beat.” In a First Test review of the 2017 AMG GLC43, we were impressed with the Motor Trend tested 0-60 mph time of 4.7 seconds and the 13.4-second quarter mile. The GLC43 did well in braking and on the skidpad. We enjoyed the driving dynamics of the SUV, “We loved the GLC300’s chassis, and the GLC43’s power hasn’t ruined it. AMG’s done a fantastic job of integrating the more powerful engine into this car, and it doesn’t just put up better numbers. "SUBSCRIBE NOW"

2019 Mazda CX-8 Introducing - The-New Mazda CX-8 2019 - Detailed Look

2019 Mazda CX-8 Introducing - The New Mazda CX-8 2019 - Detailed Look The 2019 Mazda CX-8 SUV was confirmed for the Australian and New Zealand markets recently, but now more details have come to light, placing the new crossover firmly between the Mazda CX-5 and the Mazda CX-9 in both size and pricing. Originally slated only for the Japanese domestic market, huge demand for SUVs in Australia and New Zealand saw Mazda expand its production and offer the CX-8 to customers there. Firstly, despite being based on the same platform as the CX-9, there will be no petrol version. The CX-8 will only be released as a diesel, with a 2.2-litre turbocharged four-cylinder, similar to the one already found in the CX-5 and Mazda6 sedan. In CX-8 form, however, the power has been upped to 140kW while torque is lifted to 450Nm, compared with the 129kW and 420Nm engine in the CX-5. You’ll also note that the diesel has 30Nm more than the CX-9’s turbocharged petrol.

Mercedes-Benz GLC-class is a solidly competent if unassuming entry in the ever-important compact-luxury-SUV class. While competitors such as the Porsche Macan, the Jaguar F-Pace, and the BMW X3 offer a more vivid driving experience, the GLC-class skates by anonymously, neither exciting nor offending. Don’t get us wrong—there is magic in the bones of the C-class–based GLC-class, but to truly enjoy time behind the wheel, you’ll need to plop down $55,825 for the 362-hp twin-turbo V-6–powered Mercedes-AMG GLC43 4MATIC.
