Julian Onderdonk: A collection of 182 paintings (HD)

Julian Onderdonk: A collection of 182 paintings (HD) Description: "Julian Onderdonk was born in San Antonio, Texas, to Robert Jenkins Onderdonk, a painter, and Emily Gould Onderdonk. He was raised in South Texas and was an enthusiastic sketcher and painter. As a teenager Onderdonk was influenced and received some training from the prominent Texas artist Verner Moore White who also lived in San Antonio at the time. He attended the West Texas Military Academy, graduating in 1900. At 19, with the help of a generous neighbor, Julian left Texas in order to study with the renowned American Impressionist William Merritt Chase. Julian's father, Robert, had also once studied with Chase. Julian spent the summer of 1901 on Long Island at Chase's Shinnecock School of Art. He studied with Chase for a couple of years and then moved to New York City to attempt to make a living as an en plein air artist. While in New York he met and married Gertrude Shipman and they soon had a son. Onderdonk returned to San Antonio in 1909, where he produced his best work. His most popular subjects were bluebonnet landscapes. Onderdonk died on October 27, 1922 in San Antonio. President George W. Bush decorated the Oval Office with three of Onderdonk's paintings. The Dallas Museum of Art has several rooms dedicated exclusively to Onderdonk's work. His art studio currently resides on the grounds of the Witte Museum." --- MUSIC: Kevin MacLeod - Mesmerize Mesmerize by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) Source: http://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/index.html?isrc=USUAN1500005 Artist: http://incompetech.com/ SUBSCRIBE: www.youtube.com/c/LearnFromMasters?sub_confirmation=1 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/LearnFromMasters/ Google+: https://plus.google.com/+LearnFromMasters Contact: LearnFromMasters01@gmail.com SUPPORT MY WORK AT: https://www.patreon.com/LearnFromMasters (By donating at least 50$ you'll have acces to all artworks (JPEG files) collection already posted on this channel!) George Hickox Level 1 Pointers

LEVEL I - Pointers Approximate age 6 months The documented imprinting stage for a dog spans the developmental time frame of six weeks to twenty weeks of age. The most crucial period is from eight to sixteen weeks of age. It is critical that the dog be exposed to live birds, the field, and basic consistent structure and socialized with other dogs during this period for the dog to maximize its full potential. When a dog in the imprinting stage is properly exposed to structure and the elements of field work he becomes more receptive to learning. Such a dog will become not only a better companion but also a better bird dog for the hunter. A dog that has been exposed to critical environmental factors during the imprinting stage has a mind that is open to learning and it is a joy to work with such a dog. We are dog trainers. Letting us prepare your young dog for his future training with you and having us take care of the necessary foundational prerequisites is money well spent. Do it right from the start. Then spend time with us and formulate a plan for the direction to take with your dog. A Stonecreek level I dog will have had a proper introduction to scores of live birds and has had numbers of birds shot over him. This dog demonstrates strong pointing and hunting instincts. He has traveled, is accustomed to the crate and is well socialized with dogs and people. The level I dog is ready to graduate to more advanced stages in training. His program has been an extensive one involving clicker training, proper introduction to low level e-collar stimulation, point drills and field work. We know how the dog trains. We know the dog is a bird finder and has strong pointing instincts. The level I dog is a wise investment and deserves strong consideration by any owner.

Louis Abel Truchet: A collection of 92 paintings (HD)

Louis Abel Truchet: A collection of 92 paintings (HD) Description: "Louis Abel-Truchet was an important French painter, etcher and lithographer in his lifetime. He was born in 1857 in Versailles. He is predominantly known for his paintings depicting Paris at the turn of the century, with cafés, theatres, shops, everyday life and fashionable Parisians forming an essential part of the subject matter. Abel-Truchet studied under Julian Lefebvre and Benjamin Constant. He exhibited from 1891 in various salons. He was a founding member of the Salon d'Automne and the Societe des Humoristes. He also exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français and the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, becoming a member in 1910. Though influenced by impressionism, Abel-Truchet is also satirical at times and his work focused on the Belle Epoque, linking him with artists such as Galien-Laloue, Forain and Steinlen. In 1914, aged fifty seven, he volunteered to fight in the World War One. He was to produce a series of lithographs depicting scenes from his experiences. He commanded a section of fighting troops during the war and was awarded the Legion of Honour and La Croix de Guerre. George Hitchcock: A collection of 43 paintings (HD)

Description: "George Hitchcock (1850–1913) was an American painter, born in Providence, Rhode Island, and was mostly active in Europe, notably in the Netherlands.

Hitchcock graduated from Brown University, and from Harvard Law School in 1874. He then turned his attention to art and became a pupil of Gustave Boulanger and Jules-Joseph Lefebvre at the Académie Julian in Paris.

He attracted notice in the Paris Salon of 1885 with his "Tulip Growing", of a Dutch garden he painted in the Netherlands. For years he had a studio near Egmond aan Zee, Netherlands, where he started his "Art Summer School" that later resulted in a group of returning summer artists that informally became the Egmondse School (1890-1905). He received these students and guests at his "Huis Schuylenburgh", a large estate in Egmond aan den Hoef.

He became a chevalier of the French Legion of Honour and a member of the Vienna Academy of Arts, the Munich Secession Society, and other art bodies, and is represented in the Dresden gallery, the imperial collection in Vienna, the Chicago Art Institute, and the Detroit Institute of Arts. In 1909 he was elected to the National Academy of Design as an Associate Academician."
