Charles-Francois Daubigny: A collection of 178 paintings (HD)

Charles-François Daubigny: A collection of 178 paintings (HD) Description: "Charles-François Daubigny, printmaker and painter, was born in Paris on February 15, 1817 to a family of artists . His father was the landscape painter Edme Daubigny. At the age of nine years old, his mother sent him to live with a caretaker in the village of Valmondois in the Val d'Oise region and he returned to Paris when he has fifteen. To assist his family financially he painted trinkets and clock faces for a clockmaker and later worked at the Louvre as a restorer of old-master paintings. Besides what he learned from his father, he was able to acquire a formal art education in the Paris atelier of the painter Pierre Asthasie Théodore Senties. Daubigny was self-sufficient at eighteen years old when he traveled to Italy with fellow artist Henri Mignan. They spent two months exploring the country and upon his return to Paris he reentered Atelier Senties. In 1838, he was accepted in the Salon and by that year he was producing masterful landscape etchings. In the mid 1840s Daubigny began visiting the village of Barbizon where he could paint in "plein-air" the natural beauty of the French countryside. He became a central figure of the Barbizon School, known for its naturalistic paintings. He has been called one of the greatest landscape painters in 19th century France but he was also one of the first great painter-etchers of that century. Charles-Francois Daubigny died in Paris on February 19, 1878." --- SUBSCRIBE: www.youtube.com/c/LearnFromMasters?sub_confirmation=1 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/LearnFromMasters/ Google+: https://plus.google.com/+LearnFromMasters Contact: LearnFromMasters01@gmail.com SUPPORT MY WORK AT: https://www.patreon.com/LearnFromMasters (By donating at least 50$ you'll have acces to all artworks (JPEG files) collection already posted on this channel!) Jozsef Rippl Ronai: A collection of 218 works (HD)

József Rippl-Rónai: A collection of 218 works (HD) Description: "Hungarian painter. He studied at the Academy of Munich between 1884 and 1887; then, on a Hungarian State scholarship, be travelled to Paris; he lived in France until 1901. While in Paris, he worked in Mihály Munkácsy's studio and visited the Julian Academy. In 1889 he turned away from Munkácsy's style and, together with the Scottish painter Knowles, he moved to Neuilly near Paris. It was here that he developed his style based on the reduction of colours, characteristic of his period between 1889 and 1900. His painting My Grandmother was exhibited in the Salon du Champ-de-Mars in 1894. It was this picture that aroused the interest of the Nabis group (Bonnard, Denis, Vuillard) and of "les artists intelligents", the group of young artists gathered around the magazine "Revue Blanche", who invited Rippl-Rónai to join their company. In 1896 Rippl-Rónai was commissioned by Count Tivadar Andrássy to design the dining room and the entire furniture of his palace in Budapest. In this way he became involved in the applied arts, too, designing glass windows, furniture, chinaware, glasses and gobelins. The embroidery designed by him and executed by his French wife, Lazarinne, won them a silver medal at the Paris Universal Exhibition in 1897. In 1890 he left Paris and returned to Hungary, setting in his home town, Kaposvár. Initially, he painted intimate interiors here then developed his characteristic "corn kernels" style, using bright colours and small brush-strokes which left the tiny patches of paint distinct. In 1912 his work was awarded with a silver medal at the International Fine Art Exhibition in Amsterdam: two years later he won a gold medal in Vienna with Maillol's Portrait. In 1925 his work was honoured with Belgium's Medal of the Knight of the Leopold Order. Still in the same year he received an invitation from the Uffizi Gallery of Florence to contribute to is world-famous collection of self-portraits." --- SUBSCRIBE: www.youtube.com/c/LearnFromMasters?sub_confirmation=1 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/LearnFromMasters/ Google+: https://plus.google.com/+LearnFromMasters Contact: LearnFromMasters01@gmail.com SUPPORT MY WORK AT: https://www.patreon.com/LearnFromMasters (By donating at least 50$ you'll have acces to all artworks (JPEG files) collection already posted on this channel!) Firmin Baes: A collection of 88 works (HD)

Firmin Baes: A collection of 88 works (HD) Description: "Firmin Baes was a painter, pastellist and illustrator of great merit, born in Brussels in April 1874. He was the pupil of his father, the artist and architect Henri Baes, and also of the important Belgian artist Leon Frederic. Firmin painted genre scenes and figure studies, and was a specialist at pastel. Indeed, his pastels are his most popular and sought after works and have reached exceptionally high prices at auction. For example, his pastel “Centre of Attention” fetched approximately £50,000 at auction in New York in 1995, and his Portrait of Mrs Brandt-Witlocks sold for about £44,000 in Amsterdam in 1997. He is renowned for superb technical facility and also a great use of colour. Patrick Berko notes of Baes in his Dictionary of Belgian Painters: “Where Baes shows his superiority is not so much in his amazing scientific technique but in his very real sense of decoration. One is often astounded at the skill of his composition and his layout. Firmin Baes is a virtuoso of the pastel.” In Brussels Museum there is a pastel by him entitled ‘Maternity’." --- SUBSCRIBE: www.youtube.com/c/LearnFromMasters?sub_confirmation=1 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/LearnFromMasters/ Google+: https://plus.google.com/+LearnFromMasters Contact: LearnFromMasters01@gmail.com SUPPORT MY WORK AT: https://www.patreon.com/LearnFromMasters (By donating at least 50$ you'll have acces to all artworks (JPEG files) collection already posted on this channel!) Philip Andreevich Maliavin: A collection of 97 works (HD)

Description: "Born into a large peasant family, Philip Maliavin`s experience of village life would define his work throughout his career. Painted in bright, expressive colors, Maliavin`s Laughing Village Baba is a fine example of the artist`s Russian period and one of the notable paintings in his famous series of portraits of Russian peasant women. The present painting shows a charming image of a peasant woman, filling the canvas to the edges, pausing in the midst of a dance, contemplating the next move or the world around her. The colors of her dress gain a brightness and vibrancy increasing upwards to her vibrant floral shawl. The composition is dynamic, the pose of the Baba and her sarafan carried in the dance giving the impression of movement. Famous artist Vladimir Makovsky described Maliavin`s baba, whose sarafan is like a red calico fire and whose sharp, blackish-blue shadow on her forehead, almost improbable shadow - one has to get used to it. Following his departure from Russia in 1922, Maliavin continued to work abroad, but the influence of those unrestrained whirlwind-like dances, movement and laughter never lost their hold on his artistic imagination."
