iPhone Back Glass Fix The 'EASY' Way - Plus Clear Mod

Repair the back glass on your iPhone 8, iPhone 8 plus, or the iPhone 10! (at your own risk) Get your FREE book download with 30 day trial HERE: https://www.audible.com/jerryrig or TEXT 'jerryrig' to 500-500! Apple has made these repairs extraordinarily difficult. But where there is a will there is a way. Remember I DO NOT recommend attempting any of the repairs shown in this video on your own iPhone. The chance of failure is SUPER high, and you can thank apple for that. iPhone 8 Plus Back Glass: https://amzn.to/2qVT0rA iPhone 8 Back Glass: https://amzn.to/2qTHvSg iPhone X Back Glass: https://amzn.to/2qUe5SY I show a few different ways to repair a New cracked glass iPhone. The first is with a refrigerant that can be purchased on Amazon called tetrafluoroethane. (https://amzn.to/2K7RGum) This almost worked... But still wasn't cold enough. I then tried using Liquid Nitrogen to repair the back glass on my iPhone 8. This took about 10 minutes. BUT liquid nitrogen is not as easy to get a hold of. iPhone 8 plus Camera lens: https://amzn.to/2HoaKqs iPhone 8 camera lens: https://amzn.to/2qU1HmR B-7000 adhesive: https://amzn.to/2HmJubX Finally I try using heat to remove and replace the back glass on the iPhone 8 plus. This took about a half hour. But was extremely difficult. Holding a phone that has been heated to 350 degrees F, is super dangerous not only to your hands, house, and desk, but to your phone as well. The phone is not designed to be heated to that temperature. Apple charges CRAZY amounts for out of warranty repairs on these phones. If you dont have insurance, it is 399 dollars to repair your iPhone 8 plus, and over 500 dollars to repair your iPhone 10. Highway robbery right there. Let me know if you have any questions, or if you want to see a Dry Ice attempt at repairing the iPhone 10 I have left. How I Made My Own iPhone - in China

I built a like-new(but really refurbished) iPhone 6S 16GB entirely from parts I bought in the public cell phone parts markets in Huaqiangbei. And it works! How much did it cost? Answer here: https://youtu.be/-KucQDXnKws I've been fascinated by the cell phone parts markets in Shenzhen, China for a while. I'd walked through them a bunch of times, but I still didn't understand basic things, like how they were organized or who was buying all these parts and what they were doing with them. So when someone mentioned they wondered if you could build a working smartphone from parts in the markets, I jumped at the chance to really dive in and understand how everything works. Well, I sat on it for nine months, and then I dove in. More details at: https://strangeparts.com/how-i-made-my-own-iphone-in-china/ My Gear: I shot it on this camera: http://amzn.to/2B0Snke And also with this: http://amzn.to/2BhdF1e And recorded sound on this: http://amzn.to/2CFuyPv Facebook: http://facebook.com/strangepartscom Twitter: http://twitter.com/strangepartscom Instagram: http://instagram.com/strangeparts_com Email Newsletter: http://strangeparts.com/ Special thanks to everyone that helped:Ian Lesnet (dangerousprototypes.com), Jin Lin (dangerousprototypes.com and flylin.co), Helen, Frank, David, Wyman from G-Lon Cell Phone Repair School (facebook.com/wyman.liu.1), Charles Pax (paxinstruments.com), Patrick O'Doherty, Matt Turzo, Richard Littauer, the EFF, Bunnie Huang (bunniestudios.com), Sean Cross (xobs.io), all the rest of my friends in China that have been supportive, and most importantly all the Huaqiangbei market sellers that were so generous with their time and advice!

DO NOT buy this $100 Smart Lock...

Start protecting yourself online today with 77% off a 3 year plan by using code JerryRig at https://NordVPN.com/jerryrig TAPPLOCK HAS RESPONDED - SEE BELOW: There is a metal pin inside this lock that is supposed to protrude into the back panel to keep it from rotating. (See 3:47 in the video on the right hand side of the lock.) Tapplock has said my particular unit is defective, and should not have come apart that easily. It seems to be more of a defective unit situation, instead of a poor design situation. Tapplock said they have reviewed the quality control and found no other defective units. Tapplock will send free replacements to anyone who is able to displace the back-cover without damaging it. AND future batches will also come with proprietary screws. Just wanna keep you all updated! Huge thanks to NordVPN for sponsoring this video. Stay secure! At first glance this Tapplock fingerprint scanning padlock may seem like the way of the future... But is it? Is it secure? Is it safe? There is only one way to know for sure and thats with a review from the inside. Fingerprint scanners are becoming the norm on smart phones and other devices, its no surprise now to see them on a padlock. With a one year battery life, and enough storage for 500 fingerprints, this lock seems super cool. Made from solid metal, the Tapplock is anti pry and anti shim, making it pretty secure... but... but... what if there is an Achilles heel hidden 'round back. Is it possible to physically hack this $100 dollar smart lock? It is. Its great for the gym or something non valuable. But dont lock anything super secure with it. As always, hit that subscribe button so you dont miss any of my future videos, And if Tapplock secures the next version of their lock, or fixes the current version, Ill be more than happy to update this video.
