Maruti Suzuki has just launched the third generation Swift in India and this time the car comes across as a very impressive package but the Hyundai Grand i10 is no less, in fact it is also a value-for-money offering and comes with nice features and offers good practicality and fuel efficiency too. So which one to choose out of these two? The Maruti Swift comes with 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines and while both of them get a 5-speed manual gearbox, Maruti also offers 5-speed AMT with both the engines while on the other hand the Hyundai Grand i10 gets 1.2-litre petrol as well as diesel engines but only the petrol engines gets the option of an automatic gearbox. The Suzuki Ignis is back from the dead after a decade-long absence, the latest in the brand’s growing line of reborn '90s nameplates including the Vitara and Baleno. Moreover, it's affixed to one of the most intrinsically likeable cars you can buy. Like the old version – which in retrospect was ahead of its time and was more or less the same size – the 2017 Ignis is a tiny urban runabout with the stance and space of a small crossover. Indeed, Suzuki wants you to consider it the market's first true 'light SUV'. ------------------------------------------------------------- CarAdvice.com is where Australians turn to for the most comprehensive independent reviews of new cars.
